Keep Room for Change 

We set goals. We work towards them. Often when it gets hard we drop them. Now that’s how so many resolutions fail. 

Identify what your ultimatum is rather than the process. What I mean is. Say, you promise yourself on New year’s that you will concentrate on your hobby of baking in 2021. So you join classes, but ultimately fail to attend most of them because of your busy schedule. 

That doesn’t mean you give up. Instead, you can take classes for fewer days like 2-3 days in a week instead of 5. Focusing on learning rather than attending your bakery classes. Will be more efficient. And help reach your goals. 

Flexibility Helps Achieve Goals 

Slow and steadily. That’s how you Grow! 

Don’t go too hard on yourself. Adapting to healthy habits is new to you too. And it takes a certain amount of time for habits to form. So forcing them on yourself won’t give you the results you want.

Of course, you want to stick to your goals for a longer period of time. And to do so, you must allow some space for flexibility in your set goals. 

Sudden changes will do you no good. Say you want to go to the gym five days a week, cut down on the junk food, increase your productivity to a very high level, etc. The best way to achieve all these goals will be to clear them little by little. 

Change Your Vision make Your Will-Power Strong 

Often our mind associates good feeling & happiness with things we want to cut down on. Like junk eating or addiction. 

But this can overcome. And help you strengthen your willpower too. 

Simply train your mind to associate those happy feelings with healthy habits. Like exercising. Make your brain believe that exercising makes you happy. 

While eating junk, think of all the scary health hazards it causes. Associate eating junk with a feeling of dislike. And see how your habits change.

One of the greatest lessons of 2020 has been that uncertainties surround us. Life is full of Ups and Downs. 

If you are ready to embrace your success with open arms. Remember to embrace your failures too.

If one days beats you down it does not mean you give up. You get up and fight back. Now, this is how you are going to achieve your goals. 

Learn from your failures and try working towards being better.

You need to first identify what you want to focus on most. You need prioritise and then divide your attention. Making sure that each segment gets the required amount of time and effort. 

This way, you will be able to organize your priorities. And make the most of your set goals. 

Reward Yourself A Little 

In all honesty, we all slack at times. And so will you. Instead of beating yourself up over it. Relax. We all need a break sometimes and so do you. 

Besides over-working or forcing yourself to do something. Results in lost interest. And so you will lose motivation towards that goal. 

Also after small achievements, make sure to reward yourself. This way you will remain motivated to work and do better.

Keep your head high. Look at what is coming forward. What are the end results. And how badly you have it.

Workplace or home, self-care is important. 

So I suggest you adapt five healthy habits to keep your mind space clear. And your health is in check! 

Adapt a healthy meal, take the stairs, or go for a jog in the morning before starting your day and going to work. 

Make sure you are thriving and glowing. 

Learn a new skill 

We all have a list of things we want to do. One of them is learning new skills. It could be in the field of your work. Or a hobby related skill. Both will some way or the other benefit you.

Besides if it adds to your work space, it might even get you an increase! 

Rebuild your resume 

By now you might have gained a lot of expertise in your field of work. Which you never had the time to add to your Linkedin profile. 

Do it. Because you never know who might be looking out for a skilled and passionate employee. 

Read a career book 

There are alot of famous people telling their success stories. 

These feel-good success stories are here to tell you that you are not alone. 

You might be related to the hurdles they had to clear in their lives and could do the same with yourself. 

Reading helps you grow as a person too. 

Follow one relevant blog 

Keeping up with blogs has a lot more benefits than we think. Reading another person’s creative perspective will push you to think. 

In fact, enough reading could make you an expert and you could start your own blog too. 


Above all take care of yourself. That should be your utmost priority as a New Year’s Resolution. Since the year 2020 has taken a toll on everybody’s mind and mental space. 

Make sure you are doing well, talk to your friends. Reach to your family. A year that has kept all of us apart must have a resolution to look out for each other. Caring and kindness must be the gifts exchanged. 


Also to make your health still a priority in 2021. While spreading love and happiness all around. And finding joy in the littlest things.
