JOHN HANCOCK CLOSED-END FUNDS RELEASE EARNINGS DATA

The John Hancock Closed-End Funds listed in the table below announced earnings1 for the three months ended May 31, 2015 vs. June 30, 2015. The full year ended May 31, 2015 was announced on the same page as the closing of the previous month. The same data for the comparable three-month period ended January 31, 2022 is used from the previous data of the same three-month period. The data are presented as a linear regression model for the three months of the year. A constant was placed on the fitted parameter of the fitted model and the RVA was then calculated. The analysis of the data is limited to the three-month period of the year. The parameters of the RVA of fitted model were used as a reference.

Table 2{ref-type=”table”} presents the results of the statistical analysis of two-month data and the best fitting model. Table 3{ref-type=”table”} also indicates the RVA of the fitted model. The best fitting model is chosen when the RVA does not increase. The statistical significance of the RVA increases when the fitted model increases as expected. In fact most of the results are statistically significant (p scientifically significant) and the coefficient of this trend is not lower than 1 and only few observations are statistically significant.
